Will Your Star Sign Take a Shine to Crimson Peak?
My fellow Libras will take director Guillermo del Toro’s unforgettable visuals in with wide eyed, open arm abandon from start to delicious finish! This movie has almost everything we need, Escape, gorgeous visuals, deep sentimental connections. And enough thrills to keep us on the edge of our seats but never ever covering our eyes, to all the dark delights.
Joining the Libras front and center will be Scorpio. You are never too shy to explore the depths of the human psyche, and the hidden sides of ourselves. You will delight in the depth and darkness this movie brings visually to the screen.
Leo, you are the Hollywood sign embodied in a human form. You will look at every angle here, and there are many. The Actors have embraced their persona. Some could have more dimension to them, I give you that, but in the span of time they are given to bring this dreamy story to life, I think they do a pretty good job.
Pisces, you fellow lover of escapism, torturous stories of love, there is a feast for you here. I can’t share without spoiling the movie, but trust me, it’s for you. You will be wondering, “what if” for the main characters in two different coupling possibilities.
Aquarius, you will delight in the special effects, and your sharp mind will immediately begin to imagine what’s next, and what you would have added. I agree, I would have amped the movie up in places, but after you see it you’ll understand it needed to keep a certain pace about it.
Feisty Aries ruled by warrior planet Mars, you will love the action scenes. The female fight scene will at very least, make you smile and want more. You will even love the old mansion fighting to survive the elements that constantly attack her.
Taurus you, like several of the characters in the movie, like to understand the rules, even if just to break the. The grittiness in some characters moral make ups will delight you in contrast to the chivalry of others. You want to know who you are dealing with in life, and by the end of the movie you absolutely will.
Geminis are all about cutting ties with tradition and going in a fantastical experimental journey when possible. Anything unusual appeals to your desire for something new and visually appealing. This movie delivers all of those. If you only score it for the set design, it dazzles the senses with mystery and possibility.
Cancers will love the mix of sentimental and quietly strong female lead in contrast to a strong but calculating female lead. You don’t even care if the ending is happy as long as it takes you to places in the human moral compass. What make us who we are, and what guides us to make the choices we make?
Virgo, don’t let your sharp mind put the plot puzzle together too quickly to enjoy the nuances of the film. Let’s get real documentaries are more to your taste, but a mini vacation for your senses is here for the taking if you let this movie show you the conquering side of the human spirit.
Sagittarius, you love to be transported. Let this movie be your mysterious mansion, dark side of life travel guide! You love to experience movies that are out of your everyday routine. Buy the ticket, this journey is for you. While you will wish you could control some of the scenes, just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Capricorn you will go into sensory overload, taking in every detail and picking up on the symbolism embedded in each scene. Oh there is plenty! You like me, will want to own this movie on DVD, no doubt. We need the extra behind the scenes features that sadly, we will just have to wait on.
