ACM: Party For A Cause
Cowboy boots, cowboy hats, and country music is about as Texas as can get so no wonder the ACM (Academy of Country Music) Awards had a relocation to Dallas for it’s 50th Anniversary. The ACM has been the standard for recognizing great country music throughout the years so what else would you expect from a party created by the same masterminds? Everywhere you turned, there was another opportunity for acquiring a part of the country music culture to make your own. With vendors offering a little bit of everything in the “cowboy” category from boots and jeans, to agriculture tools, I must say that it was truly an experience. Though the scene inside of Globe Life Park was exciting, the outside area was really where you the money was. Two stages, both with some of country music’s upcoming stars, shared the spotlight in the day light. Eric Paslay, Cole Swindell, Kelsea Ballerini, Brett Eldridge, Kip Moore, and Old Dominion were just a few of the unbelievable talent to grace the stage while inside, Reba, Brooks & Dunn, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Brantley Gilbert (Yes! Brantley Gilbert!), among many other megastars captivated the crowd and didn’t let go until we were in harmony with each other. The ACM Party For A Cause housed a lot of talent as well as a lot of fun with events like Cracker Barrel Old Country Store’s “Country Checkers Challenge” which featured a life size checkers board for you to be a part of the game. Overall, the ACM was an experience that any one in attendance wouldn’t forget and the ACM made sure to keep activities going so that you couldn’t even if you wanted to.
