Fork It over Restaurants is taking the Velvet Taco brand statewide and nationwide.
The company will open its third location in downtown Chicago in July.
Word is they are scouting locations in San Antonio, Houston, Austin and Seattle as well.
Fork It over Restaurants also own Mexican Sugar Cocina at The Shops at Legacy in Plano and the Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar in Plano. (They are my next stop!)
Foodies and budget minded souls alike take notice, they make everything from scratch and they like to stay up late doing it! Open 9 am-midnight Sunday; 11 am-midnight Monday-Wednesday; 11 am-3 am Thursday; 11 am-4 am Friday; and 9 am-4 am Saturday.
Now talking tacos, there are 21 to choose from and ready to wrap up your taste buds in traditional flour or corn tortillas to lettuce wraps. Take your pick of down home comfort food style all the way to Eastern-oriented taco variations. A few menu choices are a roast pork banh mi with Thai basil cream, cucumber, Asian bbq sauce, spicy pickled veg, radish sprouts, blue corn tortilla or grilled Mediterranean flank steak with Brazos Valley feta, light Greek salad, tzatziki, fresh dill, flour tortilla both under $5!
Late night turn into early morning for you? Try the Hangover burger, sriracha mayo, pepper jack cheese add a farm fresh egg, poblano-tomato chutney, blistered shishito on a flour tortilla and at only $4.12 that’s easy on the pocketbook and your aching head.
Feel like eating at home? Go to the backdoor, knock and flash a $20 bill at them and they will return with a whole Rotisserie Chicken, 2 Sides of Elote Style Rotisserie Corn, 6 Corn Tortillas, Roasted Corn Pico De Gallo and Korean BBQ Sauce. Oh, you only have a $10. Well, go on Monday night knock on the back door tell them Teal said its half-price back door chicken night and they will make it happen for you.
Eat in, take out, it’s up to you, but don’t leave without the melt in your mouth Red Velvet cake. Oh my goodness I needed that!
