I had a chance to meet and talk with the co-founder of The Dallas Gold Film Festival, Lamont Allen aka Big LA; and he had nothing but overwhelming excitement for what this years film festival had in store. Walking into the historic quaint theater fills you with the old movie house nostalgia. From the classic ticket booth, popcorn machines, to the wall of the greats such as Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, and Spike Lee; this theater definitely gives a sense of comfort to the film fanatics.

The annual Dallas Gold Film Festival is bringing in many talented directors chosen by their quality work to showcase their films; and get the chance to network with other filmmakers and executives. Co-founder Lamont Allen has compiled a showing of 11 short films to screen this upcoming Monday, and as stated before was overjoyed with anticipation. The majority of the films and filmmakers are from the local Dallas area, making it a great opportunity to come and support our own.  The festival isn’t limited to any region.  It also has directors from LA and Atlanta in the lineup for the screening.

This is definitely the thing to do. Come show support and be entertained this Cinco de Mayo. Side note:  the theater has a bar; so you don’t have to skip the celebration. So come, sit back, take a sip, grab some popcorn, and enjoy the emotional rollercoaster that you will experience this year at the Dallas Gold Film Festival.

Check out these links.  Good Morning is my very first film.  I hope you will join me Monday night for my first big screen viewing.  WOW!  Dreams come true.
