40+ artists from nine different artistic categories engage every sense at SENSORY,

RAW Dallas’ 2^nd showcase of the 2015 season!

(Dallas, Texas – May 2015 Source: RAW Dallas)- RAW Dallas is delighted to present, SENSORY, the second artist showcase of the 2015-2016 season. The showcase will be held May 30^th, at the GAS MONKEY LIVE! SENSORY will include 40+ underground artist that have been hand-picked by RAW Director, Sarah Badran, to be featured in the upcoming showcase. Nine+ artistic categories including, art, fashion, hair, make-up, music, photography, performance art and film. From 7 PM to 12 AM there will be hundreds of attendees that will witness the collective talents of our RAW artists. GAS MONKEY LIVE! Is located at 10110 Technology Blvd, Dallas TX 75220.

RAW Dallas is one of 80+ city locations for RAW: natural born artists, an international community made up of creative individuals across the globe. The mission of RAW Dallas is to give distinct artists throughout the metroplex, a unified platform to showcase their artistic talents. RAW Dallas was introduced to the city in the summer of 2012, since then RAW Dallas has successfully coordinated nearly 20 eclectic artist showcases in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. With promoting and empowering artists in their first ten years of their careers as the primary focus of RAW Dallas, the local platform provides tools for these artists to effectively market and monetize their craft.

Sarah Badran, Creative Director of Raw Dallas, believes that connecting our artists with industry professionals across the globe, allows RAW to expose new talent to boutique owners, buyers, music producers, art collectors, gallery owners, media and other prominent entities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, to help artists get their name out there. RAW Dallas also provides globally-based professionals with various website tools that allow them to creatively mentor through various outlets, like our educational blogs and v-logs and RAWdio, where artist interviews are aired internationally through the podcast.

SENSORY, the upcoming showcase, will be filled with a plethora of artists that will allow you to rediscover your five senses through art. GAS MONKEY LIVE! will be transformed into a unique curation of sensorial expression.

Doors open at 7 p.m. , the live-stage portion starting promptly at 8 p.m., will feature a variety musical performances from the reggae stylings of Franchesca Collins, Jazz from Carito Plaza of Chile, pop from Thomas Lightfoot, rock from Jettison Crown, neo-soul from Keite Young, beatboxing from Mike Lackey, hip-hop from rappers Terrence Spectacle and Alsace Carcione and the instrumental band of Grammy nominated percussionist, Mike Mitchell. Other performance artists include Keytar player J. Spear, comedian Troy Grittings and dance performances from Footsouljerz Krew and lyrical performances by Summer Nixon and Meghan Marcano.

The fashion segment, beginning at 10 p.m., will feature fashion designs by Adonai Green, Sacred Heart, The Style Conscious and a new collection from VERUM designers Reham Choudhury and Reynan Banaban. The night’s festivities will also feature over-the-top makeup and hair creations from colorist Amanda Potter, Foxy Loza, DiDi Payne, Chanel, Dusted by Dawn and Marissa Martinez.

Other notable artists include culinary artists Mickael Founier, Chef Latoya Duncan, Gourmet Soiree, and Ms. Dips Tips. Henna by Arusa, the nail tech team at Mini Luxe and bath and body creations from Kat D. Hillard and Custom Blends by Nine round about more features that will be featured to appeal to guests senses.

Tickets for the showcase can be purchased online in advance for $15 online or $20 at the door the night of the event.
