#DEJatSXSW Dallas Entertainment Journal at South By Southwest coverage preview!

Jay-Z, Fall Out Boy, Kanye West, Prince, Lady Gaga, Kid Cudi, John Mayer, Katy Perry, and Bruce Springsteen have a few things in common. Successful music careers, incredible artistry, and Austin. No, not luxurious real estate in the central Texas city, but they have been enshrined in South By Southwest (or SXSW) hall of fame. SXSW has been known over the years to break out artists and to give fans a personal chance to see their favorites in an intimate setting. SXSW did not disappoint this year. With big name sponsors like McDonald’s and Samsung leading the charge with mega parties every artist and company alike all had one thing in mind. That was pleasing the fans by any means necessary. From the Hype Hotel presented by Taco bell down to the Party Buses provided by Tito’s Vodka and another from Aloft Hotels and Wired. It is definitely a 10 day party but more importantly it’s a chance for the brands, both big and small, to connect with it’s faithful consumers and potential new ones. Though advertising and branding are becoming pivotal to many, not a single company neglects the real reason that we’re here: the music. The music this year created it’s spot in time much like the others with shows from ASAP Mob, Mike Will Made it and special guests, T-Pain, TV On The Radio, Ludacris, Nas, Busta Rhymes, James Bay, Zoe Kravitz & Lolawolf, Action Bronson, Run The Jewels, and many many more. SXSW has proven to be an event that you don’t want to miss nor that you don’t want to be out of the loop on, but don’t worry. This year, we have you covered. Welcome to DEJatSXSW.
