DALLAS, Texas, October 15, 2014 – Tickets for the 2014 Heart of Dallas Bowl went on sale Wednesday for the fifth annual game at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium on the grounds of Fair Park.

This year’s bowl game is set for December 26 with a 12 p.m. (CT) kickoff. The game will feature schools from Conference USA and the Big Ten Conference. This bowl game will be aired on ESPN, as the previous four games were carried by ESPNU.

Ticket prices for the fifth annual Heart of Dallas Bowl will range from $25 for general admission seating, to $125 for the preferred seating. Tickets can purchased through the bowl’s web site at http://theheartofdallasbowl.com/general-tix.

On September 11th, the Heart of Dallas Bowl committee announced a new mission to honor first responders through football. Complimentary tickets are available to all first responders, and their families via signup at the bowls website – www.theHeartOfDallasBowl.com. These tickets are made possible by generous underwriting from many North Texas businesses, and bowl corporate partners.

Conference USA will be seeking its third Heart of Dallas Bowl win as the 14-team conference will enter the 2014 Heart of Dallas Bowl as the defending champions. Last year, North Texas used a 22-point fourth quarter to post a 36-14 win over UNLV at the Cotton Bowl Stadium. Mean Green quarterback Derek Thompson was named MVP. The senior won his final game, going 21 -of- 30 for 265 yards, with two touchdown passes.

At the current moment, North Texas (2-4, 0-2 in CUSA), Rutgers (5-1, 1-1 in Big 10), Louisiana Tech (3-3, 2-0 in CUSA), and Michigan (3-4, 1-2 in Big 10) are favorites to play in the game, as per ESPN.
