RED BULL SOAPBOX RACE SPEEDS INTO DALLAS SEPTEMBER 28TH

–Speed Demons Ready to Screech Through The Colony’s Austin Ranch–

WHO: Gear-heads, adrenaline junkies and the just plain crazy, have been planning, plotting, building and testing their creations for months. Hundreds submitted their ideas, and the 48 most unique and creative crafts were chosen. Crafts range from Mavs basketball shoes, a Barbie Jeep, a life-sized bomb pop and a baby carriage!

Racers will be judged on speed, creativity and showmanship by a star-studded panel of judges including: Olympic hopeful and Plano native Claire Buhrfeind, former Fast N’ Loud star Aaron Kaufman, NBA All-Star Shawn Marion, American rapper Dorrough Music, baseball legend Pudge Rodriguez and TV host and personality Kaime Stroot. Kidd Kraddick in the Morning’s J-Si Chavez and Jenna Page will help host the festivities.

WHAT: Red Bull Soapbox Race, featuring some of the wildest legal street racing around, speeds into The Colony’s Austin Ranch. Forty-eight teams manning their soapbox creations will careen through a treacherous downhill course featuring jumps, bumps, curves and swerves.

WHEN: Saturday, September 28, 2019

9:00am – Parking lots open

9:30am – Shuttle service starts

10:00am – Gates open and pre-show pit lane walk (Judges will be available for media interviews)

11:00 am – Show starts

12:00 pm – Racing Begins

4:00 pm – Award Ceremony

WHERE: Austin Ranch on Windhaven Parkway, West of Dallas North Tollway

In coordination with The Colony Police Department, weapons of any kind will not be allowed on site. There will be checkpoints and magnetometers at each venue entrance. Any weapons should be left at home or in vehicles.

Also prohibited from the event site are: alcohol, coolers, glass containers, pets (except licensed service animals/please bring documentation), tents, bicycles in venue (please leave in bike valet) and drones. <>
